Exeter Job Corps Academy seeks an Advanced Culinary Arts Instructor to provide industry-recognized culinary instruction advancing students toward employment or further education. The role runs Monday through Friday, 7:45am-4:45pm, and aims to prepare underprivileged youth for regional and national competitions and careers in culinary arts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of teaching or related experience.
• RI Office of Food Protection certification or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability requirements.
• Job Corps experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive and individualized case management to ensure student progress.
• Delivers quality culinary training including food safety and preparation.
• Provides students with job leads and monitors graduate placements.
• Ensures classroom is well organized and conducive to student learning.
• Holds students accountable to dress code and conduct standards.
• Produces quality work and meets deadlines.
• Maintains attendance, accountability and productivity standards.
• Plans and organizes assignments to meet goals.
• Provides high-quality supervision and management for students.
• Takes swift action to positively influence student behavior.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
