Job summary

MedStar Health, a premier healthcare system in the Maryland–Washington, D.C. region, invites a Senior CT Technologist to join the Hospital team. You will deliver high-quality imaging care in a collaborative setting, supporting patient-centered care and professional growth.

You will lead CT operations, participate in performance improvement, ensure accurate image capture and archiving, and mentor staff while upholding safety and regulatory standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; or Radiologic Technology certificate from an accredited program.
• 3-4+ years of CT experience required; or CT certificate/cross-training program preferred.
• ARRT radiography and CT certification required, or NMTCB-CT certification; or 10 years CT experience for internal candidates.
• BLS/CPR certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Executes clinical CT competence across locations and patient types.
• Selects accurate technical factors per patient and follows dose-reduction concepts.
• Leads department staff and improves workflows, patient experience, quality, and safety.
• Oversees RIS/PACS examinations and makes images available to Radiologist.
• Maintains department inventory and participates in budgeting and staffing discussions.
• Ensures compliance with policies, standards, and safety regulations.
