Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Lead CT Technologist to produce high-quality CT images, prepare patients, and collaborate with radiologists for timely interpretation. You will supervise CT operations, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role includes PET responsibilities, maintaining training programs, and contributing to quality metrics. Requires ARRT/NMTCB CT certification, state licensure, CPR, and 3–5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• VA state radiologic technologist license required for outpatient facilities.
• ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology or NMTCB registered.
• Advanced level certification by the ARRT or NMTCB in computed tomography required.
• American Heart Association CPR required.
• Three years' relevant experience required, five years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for CT examinations by confirming orders, verifying identities, and obtaining histories.
• Reviews daily patient schedule to ensure proper sequencing and documentation.
• Serves as preceptor to newly hired CT staff and maintains CT Hybrid Training program.
• Reports Press Ganey scores and develops action plans when targets are missed.
• Provides volume and wait-time reports and end-of-month dashboard statistics.
• Maintains ACR program requirements for CT and assists in re-accreditation.
• Reports technical quality review of CT images and ensures diagnostic quality.
• Conducts research and evaluates new programs or tools with management.
• Monitors inventory of supplies and materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• For PET: performs PET/CT, documents data for billing, and administers radiopharmaceuticals per guidelines.

Education

VA State Radiologic Technologist License

ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology or NMTCB registered

Advanced ARRT/NMTCB CT certification

American Heart Association CPR

CNMT or ARRT in Nuclear Medicine Technology
