Northwell is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Computed Tomography to operate CT equipment, prepare patients for examinations, and ensure all information needed by physicians is accurately obtained for diagnosis.

The role involves administering routine and ER CT procedures, producing high-quality images while minimizing patient stress and exposure, and verifying patient identification prior to scans. Experience with RIS and PACS is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist with certification in IV contrast administration, required.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist (R.T.), preferred.
• BLS, required.
• Minimum five (5) years special procedures radiologic technologist experience, required.
• Ability to use Radiology Information System, PC, and computer controlled radiographic equipment such as a CT scanner and laser camera.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Administers routine/ER CT procedures and special procedures.
• Produces high quality images with minimal stress and exposure to the patient.
• Checks patient identification to ensure proper administration of CT scans.
• Processes, develops and reformats images; networks images to PACS.
• Performs clerical and technical duties including logging, charges, and data entry.
• Assists in orientation and training of new technologists.
• Performs related duties as required.
