Northwell Career Site is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform CT imaging procedures and ensure quality images for physician interpretation in a busy New York setting.

The successful candidate will graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology Program, hold NYS licensure, ARRT registration, and have prior radiology experience with strong communication skills. Shifts include Sundays, Wednesdays, and Tuesdays with varied hours.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT Registered Technologist (R.T.).
• Prior radiology technology experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares patient for examination.
• Explains procedure in layman terms to relieve patient of anxiety.
• Positions patient on examination table for optimum testing procedure and conditions.
• Sets-up equipment to administer the proper procedure in timely fashion.
• Performs cat scan procedures as prescribed by ordering physician.
• Calculates and enters number of scans to be obtained.
• Obtains images of anatomical area of interest.
• Monitors patient condition and reports abnormal changes.
• Ensures accuracy of all patient data and prints CDs as required.
• Gathers previous related patient reports as required.
