Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a CT Technologist to produce diagnostic CT images across designated anatomical areas. You will ensure patient safety, manage exam scheduling, and adhere to radiology protocols in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include patient identification, IV access, image positioning, and coordination with nursing to maintain throughput while upholding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• ARRT CT Certification or obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Valid NYS Radiologic License with Injection & BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate throughput for CT patients and prioritize exams for timely completion.
• Identify patient using two identifiers and verify order details before exam.
• Explain procedure with professionalism and compassion to patients.
• Perform IV cannulation and iStat testing per policy and scope of practice.
• Position patient for optimal CT imaging and adjust exposure to obtain diagnostic images.
• Operate power injectors under physician supervision and ensure radiation safety.
