Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform x-ray exams and operate radiographic equipment in accordance with department procedures. Responsibilities include preparing patients, obtaining consent, positioning, adjusting equipment, and ensuring proper labeling and documentation.

The ideal candidate will be graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program, hold NY or CT licensure, ARRT registration, and at least one year of radiologic experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State and/or Connecticut licensure as Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT registration required.
• Minimum of one year experience performing radiologic exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and translate procedures into lay terms to ease anxiety.
• Perform radiologic exams and position patients according to SOPs.
• Ensure correct exposure, monitor patient condition, and report concerns to Radiologist.
• Label images, enter exam data, and maintain required records.
• Perform related duties as required.
