Job summary

Northwell Health operates CT imaging services and maintains related equipment, ensuring accurate image processing and documentation. The Radiologic Technologist translates procedures for patients and secures consent when needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience performing radiologic exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and translates procedures into lay terms.
• Performs radiographic exams according to standards and division procedures.
• Positions patient and adjusts immobilization and equipment for correct exposure.
• Operates x-ray equipment and monitors patient safety and condition.
• Documents exam data, marks images for right/left, and logs exams daily.
• Performs related duties as required.
