Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT. The incumbent operates as an advanced DRT performing standard imaging and complex CT examinations in a 1A High Complexity Medical Center.

The role requires ARRT CT certification, ARRT (R) radiography credentials, and on-going competency development, with opportunities for on-site work and emergency coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be ARRT-certified in radiologic technology (R).
• Advanced ARRT certification required for CT duties.
• Completion of a 24-month diagnostic radiologic technology program.
• U.S. citizenship and English proficiency required.
• Experience as advanced DRT with independent practice encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams of head to extremities with standard and non-standard protocols.
• Set optimum technique and parameters per radiologist dictates.
• Maintain QA testing on CT units and document results.
• Assist with CT guided Interventional Radiology procedures.
• Rotate on-call duties and standby for emergencies.
