Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required; non-citizens may be appointed per VA policy.
• English language proficiency required.
• ARRT Radiography (R) certification; advanced ARRT certification required for CT duties as applicable.
• Education: 24 months post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program; JRCERT accredited or equivalent; transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Balance needs of patients and staff while performing complex scans and procedures.
• Gather information from medical records and other healthcare providers.
• Assess factors that may contraindicate the procedure.
• Knowledge of first aid and life support in radiography.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and IV methods; universal precautions.
• Pre-, intra-, and post-procedural patient care.
