Job summary

King County’s Wastewater Treatment Division is seeking a Capital Project Manager IV to lead high‑profile, multi‑discipline civil infrastructure projects across Seattle and Puget Sound. You will coordinate internal teams and external partners, including regulatory agencies, tribal partners, and consultants, to navigate technical and political challenges.

You will apply industry standards in planning, scope, budget, schedule management, and reporting, while guiding teams through planning, design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in project/program management or related field
• 1–4 years managing large infrastructure projects
• PMI/PMBOK knowledge and project management processes
• Experience leading multi-discipline teams
• Ability to navigate political and regulatory environments

Responsibilities

• Provide overall team leadership of complex, high-risk wastewater capital projects from concept through final implementation
• Lead and direct large, high-priority capital projects with substantial resources
• Develop and manage project scope, schedule, budget and contract requirements for design, procurement and construction
• Write scopes of work for RFPs and negotiate contracts with procurement
• Support/lead negotiations with partners in delivery efforts
• Represent WTD in internal and external communication and coordination efforts
