Responsibilities

• Responds to complex customer inquiries regarding products, provides quotes, and processes orders.
• Places customer orders via telephone, fax, email, electronic methods, or walk-in.
• Influences gross profit through negotiated pricing within set parameters.
• Builds relationships to drive repeat business and identifies process improvements.
• Maintains inventory levels by coordinating with branches and warehouses.
• May place orders up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per purchase order without approval.
• Expedites backorders and prepares orders for shipment to customers.
• Sources products from branch, distribution center, or supplier inventories.
• Determines cost-effective shipping methods for customer orders.
• May handle customer returns and assist other representatives; coaches juniors.
• Supports quality and safety in the branch; performs other duties as assigned.
