Attalon, Inc. in Port Richey, FL is seeking a Principal Crystal Growth Process Engineer to lead crystal growth operations, optimize equipment, and drive cost, cycle-time, and process stability improvements.

You will develop processes meeting internal and external requirements, document procedures, and contribute to new product strategies. You will travel to Attalon facilities and relocate to Murrieta, CA within 12–24 months, supporting manufacturing and R&D transitions and ensuring high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry; Master’s/PhD is a strong plus.
• 8+ years in melt/solution crystal growth; sapphire/YAG/spinel or high-melting materials experience desired.
• Hands-on operation of high-temperature furnaces, power supplies, vacuum systems, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Identify and monitor critical crystal growth process parameters and yield.
• Create/maintain crystal growth procedures and SPC charts.
• Investigate data for correlations, trends, and root-cause analysis.
• Develop growth processes to meet customer requirements.
• Lead technology transfers from R&D to manufacturing.
• Support capacity expansion and supplier qualification while maintaining quality.
