Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience, or Master/PhD with 3+ years in related fields.
• Hands-on experimental work in a lab, machine shop or industrial setting.
• Familiarity with microscopy and materials characterization methods (optical/electron microscopy, XRD, surface analyses).
• Knowledge of multi-physics simulations and interpretation of data.
• Understanding of SPC and DOE; strong data analysis and basics of ML/AI.

Responsibilities

• Conduct process engineering research, development and evaluation for silicon crystal manufacturing.
• Utilize multi-physics simulations, materials testing and characterization to assess impact on specs and performance.
• Perform data analysis for process development; apply machine learning/AI approaches.
• Review literature and cross-functionally develop novel ideas to improve yield and efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership on the manufacturing floor and collaborate with teams.
