Job summary

Elliptic is seeking a Senior Cryptocurrency Intelligence Scientist (IC4) to advance on-chain threat attribution and inform intelligence collection for financial institutions and government agencies. You will own end-to-end research, develop rigorous outputs, and mentor colleagues while shaping product and public-sector intelligence strategies.

Qualifications

• Strong data science fundamentals with experience in SQL and Python to automate analyses.
• Expert proficiency across blockchains with first-hand experience bridging crypto between chains.
• Understanding of cognitive bias, structured analytic techniques, and uncertainty in outputs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences, including executives and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own expert understanding of identity and on-chain signals for threat attribution.
• Lead end-to-end research from scoping to written outputs, with rigorous client presentations.
• Assess attribution coverage and drive prioritized intelligence collection efforts.
• Create processes and tooling to support heuristic development and drift monitoring.
• Maintain forward-looking views on crypto threats and translate into actionable priorities.
• Summarise conclusions into reports, briefings, and marketing content for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable intelligence to public-sector partners.
• Mentor junior colleagues and raise intelligence practice standards across the team.
