Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. in Boulder, CO is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to join our Boulder-based Service Team.

You will deliver high-quality service to customers, install and commission cryogenic systems, and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain for continuous product improvement. The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of related experience or equivalent, strong troubleshooting skills, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance at customer sites to ensure optimal system performance.
• Install and commission FormFactor cryogenic systems, including executing final system acceptance testing per defined protocols.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex equipment issues both remotely (phone/email) and on-site.
• Provide timely and professional customer communication to ensure a high-quality service experience.
• Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation accurately and in alignment with company standards.
• Lead and resolve technical escalations, ensuring timely root cause identification and corrective actions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to support product and process improvements.
• Develop, maintain, and improve service procedures, protocols, and technical documentation.
• Deliver technical training and instruction to customers, partners, and internal teams.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to maintain and expand technical expertise.
