Job summary
CPG is seeking a Critical Systems Technician IV to service mission‑critical electrical systems in the Houston area. You will lead installation, testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of power distribution equipment, with travel up to 50% and interface with factory and project teams.
The role requires experience with UPS, switchgear, and related equipment, with NETA/NICET knowledge preferred and strong technical writing skills for reporting and documentation.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience with mission critical electrical systems.
- Experience with electrical power distribution equipment including UPS, switchgear, batteries, monitoring equipment, generators.
Responsibilities
- Review technical specifications with sales and project managers to define field operations.
- Interface with services team to ensure specification compliance.
- Provide job-specific technical support and field troubleshooting.
- Interface with factory to resolve site-related issues.
- QA/QC of Power Distribution Equipment and testing of systems.
- Create MOPs, SOPs and EOPs for critical power systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on contracted gear and components.
- Install and service Power Distribution Equipment; troubleshoot distribution and transmission controls.
- Conduct site testing, commissioning, and reporting per project specs.
