Job summary

CPG seeks a Critical Systems Technician IV to support mission-critical electrical services for data centers. You will oversee installation, service, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and operation of power distribution equipment under contract.

The role requires leadership, field issue resolution, and regular reporting to project leadership. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in mission-critical electrical systems, experience with UPS, switchgear, and related equipment, and the ability to

Qualifications

Experience with mission-critical electrical systems including UPS, switchgear, batteries, and monitoring equipment.
Ability to read and interpret one-line/three-line diagrams, blueprints and schematics.
Strong technical writing skills for reports, SOPs and testing sheets.

Responsibilities

Review specifications with sales and project teams to define field operations scope.
Interface with services team to ensure specification compliance.
Provide job-specific technical support and site issue resolution.
Perform preventive maintenance on contracted gear and components.
Install and service Power Distribution Equipment and perform testing of switchgear and protection systems.
Prepare site testing reports and inspection sheets per project specs.
Travel up to 50% for regional assignments.
