Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Mechanical Critical Facility Technician to maintain and repair complex mechanical systems in data centers, hospitals, and manufacturing plants. You will troubleshoot and service HVAC equipment, chillers, boilers, CRAC/CRAH, and air handling units, using BMS platforms to monitor environments.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in critical facilities, EPA 608 certification, and must pass a government security clearance process prior to employment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' work experience in critical facilities such as data centers or hospitals.
• 3+ years direct experience in a critical facility operation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Experience with chillers greater than 300 tons, boilers, or significant other mechanical experiences.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, CRAC/CRAH, and AHUs.
• Install, maintain, and repair minor plumbing: pumps, valves, piping.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Monitor and control environmental systems with BMS platforms (Niagara Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls).
• Read and interpret mechanical, plumbing, and electrical diagrams.
• Use CMMS to track and document work orders and maintenance activities.
