You will support NPD and Sustaining Engineering with advanced CAD modeling, layout development, design refinement, and technical reviews.

This full-time, onsite role focuses on driving top-down assembly structures, resolving complex design issues, and mentoring junior designers while collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product design in an engineering environment (or 3+ yrs with an Associate’s).
• 2+ years Creo Parametric in complex modeling, assemblies, and drawings.
• 2+ years maintaining large assembly structures and engineering docs in Creo.
• 2+ years reviewing 3D models, drawings, and BOMs for accuracy.
• 1+ years working with CAD-driven BOMs and top-down design methods.
• 1+ years of engineering release processes.
• 1+ years Creo sheet metal design.
• Travel up to 10% across domestic locations and Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine CAD models, layouts, assemblies, and detailed designs.
• Translate requirements and Lead direction into practical design solutions.
• Lead packaging, integration, fit-up, and manufacturability evaluations.
• Conduct detailed reviews of models, drawings, BOMs, and docs.
• Validate work of other designers and ensure design intent alignment.
• Support development and maintenance of top-down assembly structures.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
• Provide guidance to offshore design resources.
• Participate in design reviews, peer reviews, Virtual Builds and release readiness.
• Assist in coordinating design execution when a Lead delegates.
• Support ECN execution, documentation review, and release prep.
• Identify technical risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Mentor less experienced designers.
