Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to create and revise CAD models, drawings, and BOMs for NPD and Sustaining Engineering programs. You will update ECNs, apply GD&T, and maintain Windchill PLM products and configurations. Collaborate with design leads and manufacturing to resolve issues and ensure design intent is maintained through release.

The role requires 2+ years in engineering design with Creo Parametric and familiarity with GD&T. Travel up to 10% may be part of the job.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of product design experience in an engineering environment.
• 2+ years of Creo Parametric experience with proficiency in 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawing creation.
• 2+ years of experience with engineering drafting standards and GD&T principles.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise CAD models, production drawings, BOMs, and associated engineering documentation.
• Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using Creo and other approved engineering tools.
• Execute assigned design tasks in support of New Product Development (NPD) and Sustaining Engineering programs.
• Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) through documentation updates and drawing revisions.
• Apply engineering standards, drafting practices, GD&T requirements, and Design Services procedures.
• Create and maintain product structures, assemblies, and BOMs within Windchill and PLM systems.
• Participate in design reviews, peer reviews, and release preparation activities.
• Identify documentation issues and manufacturability concerns and escalate appropriately.
• Communicate progress, risks, and blockers affecting tasks.
