Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Lead Design Engineer to drive design services across multiple programs onsite in Fort Worth, TX. The role requires technical leadership, Creo Parametric and Windchill expertise, and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

The candidate should have 7+ years in product design and 5+ years in PLM/releases, with a strong background in mechanical design, top-down methodologies, and sheet metal experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 7+ years of product design experience in an engineering environment.
• 5+ years of PLM workflows and release processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technology.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Experience with top-down design methodologies.
• Experience with sheet metal design and documentation.
• Experience coordinating and reviewing work from offshore design resources.
• Experience leading complex New Product Development programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead Design Services execution across multiple projects and programs.
• Provide technical and execution oversight for complex product development activities.
• Identify execution risks, schedule concerns, and resource constraints and mitigate.
• Serve as a technical escalation point for design, documentation, release, and execution issues.
• Mentor and develop Design Leads, Lead Designers, and Designers.
• Drive consistency in design execution, release readiness, and quality.
