Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a seasoned Commercial Banking underwriter to support underwriting and monitoring for a portfolio of mid-to-large clients. You will independently manage transactions of moderate complexity and deliver financial analyses to inform loan decisions.

Strong analytical skills, financial modeling expertise, and the ability to coach teammates on credit requirements are required. Based in Boston, MA with in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of solid experience in Commercial Banking underwriting, financial analysis, structuring, and portfolio management.
• Strong communication and analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring.

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of clients supporting underwriting and/or monitoring with limited to moderate complexity.
• Independently collaborates with Relationship Management and Risk teammates to understand structuring needs.
• Delivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to support loan decisions.
• Reviews work of junior teammates to provide feedback and ensure compliance with laws, rules, etc.
• Has credit approval for certain credit actions.
• Leads loan structure conversations and completion of loan documentation with internal/external partners.
