Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Credit Underwriter to structure and underwrite complex commercial credit transactions with minimal oversight. You will deliver financial and industry analysis to support merchant exposure decisions and ensure compliance with credit policies and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with Relationship Managers and product partners, coach sales teams, and take on customer-facing responsibilities to obtain financial information and negotiate terms for merchant

Qualifications

• 3+ years of underwriting experience in commercial credits and portfolio management.
• Experience preparing and using Risk Rating scorecards.
• Strong communication and analytical/technical skills including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring.
• Experience in high-volume commercial credit production environments.

Responsibilities

• Performs underwriting and structuring of complex credit transactions.
• Delivers financial, industry, economic analyses to support merchant exposure decisions.
• Negotiates terms with clients and ensures adherence to credit policies and regulatory requirements.
• Provides coaching and support to Sales partners and Credit team members.
• Serves as Credit approver in collaboration with Risk management and drives the internal approval process.
• Structures and negotiates client merchant services contracts.
• Spreads financial statements and reviews Risk Rating scorecards.
