Job summary

Potomac Bank is seeking a senior Credit Analyst to evaluate loan requests, structure deals, and assess borrower repayment capacity. You will prepare detailed underwriting packages for approval, assign risk ratings, and ensure compliance with bank policies and government regulations.

You will lead and mentor Credit Analyst I and II, coordinate with Relationship Managers, and contribute to policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, real estate, or related field.
• 6+ years specialized experience as a Credit Analyst; supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience reviewing commercial loan documentation and credit facilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate loan requests for appropriate structure and use of funds in line with bank policies and regulations.
• Prepare underwriting documents with detailed risk assessment for senior management and loan committees.
• Assign risk ratings and ensure compliance with Commercial Credit Policy.
• Mentor Credit Analyst I and II and assist in developing Credit Department procedures.
• Support Relationship Managers and participate in client calls as needed.
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to policy across commercial lending.
