Senior Credit Specialist (NYC or Greenwich, CT)

This banking client is seeking a Senior Credit Specialist to join their Credit Administration team in NYC or Greenwich, CT. Prior experience in commercial lending, underwriting, and portfolio management within the banking or financial services industry is required.

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite loan requests for commercial lending after initial sales contact by a Banker.
• Protect the bank by providing an unbiased assessment of prospective borrowers and disclosing all risks.
• Manage and oversee a loan portfolio, including compliance, financials, exceptions, renewals, modifications, reviews, and site visits.
• Price and structure loans, prepare Term Sheets, and gather necessary financial information for underwriting according to bank policies.
• Analyze spreads and cash flows, and utilize this data to complete detailed underwriting reports.
• Coordinate with Credit Analysts and Credit Approval teams to ensure efficient loan processing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in economics, finance, business, or accounting.
• 9+ years of commercial lending, underwriting, and portfolio management experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
