Job summary

Bellwether Staffing Solutions seeks a Senior Credit Analyst/Underwriter with commercial loan experience for our Stamford, CT headquarters. This full-time in-person role (Mon-Fri) focuses on underwriting and monitoring CRE, C&I, and construction loans, with an 85K–105K base plus benefits.

You will analyze financial statements and collateral, prepare credit presentations, and support risk management. Must be US citizen or GC and willing to work locally in Stamford.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of commercial credit analysis, underwriting, or credit administration experience.
• Experience with CRE, C&I, and construction lending.
• Knowledge of loan documentation, collateral analysis, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience reviewing commercial appraisals required.
• Formal credit training a plus.

Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Credit Analyst / Underwriter with commercial loan experience in Stamford, CT. This is a full-time in-person role Monday-Friday, in corporate headquarters. The Analyst is responsible for underwriting and monitoring commercial loan relationships, analyzing financial statements, preparing credit recommendations, and supporting the credit risk management process. 85K – 105K Base + Benefits Package

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and underwrite commercial real estate (CRE), commercial and industrial (C&I), and construction loans.
• Perform financial statement, cash flow, collateral, and risk analysis.
• Prepare detailed credit presentations and loan recommendations.
• Monitor loan portfolios, annual reviews, covenant compliance, and loan renewals.
• Partner with Loan Officers, Portfolio Managers, borrowers, and third-party vendors throughout the underwriting process.
• Assist with Board reporting, audits, regulatory reviews, and departmental reporting.
• Maintain credit files and borrower documentation.
• Identify and escalated potential credit concerns.
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of commercial credit analysis, underwriting, or credit administration experience.
• Experience with CRE, C&I, and construction lending.
• Strong financial analysis, cash flow, and credit underwriting skills.
• Knowledge of loan documentation, collateral analysis, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience reviewing commercial appraisals required.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Abrigo loan origination and credit administration systems preferred.
• Ability to independently underwrite moderate to complex commercial lending relationships.
• Experience with loan reviews, collections, workout situations, and portfolio management.
• Formal credit training a plus.
