Job summary

First Western Trust is seeking a Senior Loan Review Analyst to lead reviews of the Bank's most complex, high-risk lending relationships. You will ensure underwriting quality, accurately rate risk, and guide portfolio management with senior management and governance bodies.

You will mentor Loan Review Analysts and collaborate with relationship managers to improve practices, standards, and risk awareness across consumer and commercial portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field required.
• 7-10 years loan review, credit risk management, commercial credit analysis, credit administration, regulatory examination, or a related lending risk function required.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial, consumer, and residential mortgage lending principles and underwriting practices.
• Ability to independently challenge risk ratings and credit decisions.
• Knowledge of regulatory guidance, banking compliance requirements, and risk management practices.

Responsibilities

• Act as reviewer-in-charge for the Bank's most complex, high-risk loans and relationships, including planning review scope and overseeing execution.
• Serve as the department's technical resource for loan review methodology and risk rating practices.
• Perform quality assurance reviews to promote consistency and accuracy of loan reviews.
• Conduct stress testing, concentration analysis, and portfolio risk assessments.
• Lead or assist with development and enhancement of loan review methodologies and tools.
• Prepare and communicate significant findings and risk themes to management and committees.
• Support regulatory examinations, internal audits, and external audits by explaining methodologies and practices.
• Mentor and develop Loan Review Analysts through training and coaching.
