Job summary

BMO is seeking a Commercial Banking credit professional to analyze credit information, structure loans, and manage a diversified client portfolio. You will assess repayment capacity, sign off on loans within authority, and monitor risks while pursuing new business opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships.

You will work within the Commercial Sales & Service group, leveraging financial models and market insights to optimize returns and comply with policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Finance and Accounting preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of credit policies, risk assessment and lending procedures.
• Experience in commercial banking credit analysis and loan structuring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze credit information to support lending decisions and processes for Dealer Finance commercial loans.
• Negotiate loan structures and terms that align client requirements with bank risk appetite.
• Assess client repayment capacity using financial models and analytical tools.
• Sign off on new, renewal and extension loans within delegated authority.
• Monitor portfolio to identify deteriorating credit conditions and compliance issues.
• Develop and deliver proposals to capture new business and expand client relationships.
• Build and maintain client relationships to ensure long-term financial performance.
• Ensure adherence to risk policies, data integrity, and regulatory standards.
