Job summary

World Fuel is seeking a Senior Analyst, Credit & Risk to support underwriting, risk management, and working-capital protection across North American Land wholesale portfolios. This role evaluates the creditworthiness of counterparties and analyzes financial risk to enable informed commercial decisions.

Reports to the Director of NA Land Credit & Risk and collaborates with Commercial, Legal, and Finance teams while coordinating with PDI and Oracle ERP platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 3+ years of credit, risk, or accounting experience.
• Experience in commodities, energy, or trading environments preferred.
• Strong Excel and data-analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage inbound credit requests to ensure timely decisions.
• Analyze customer financial statements to recommend credit limits.
• Evaluate MTM exposure and forward trading activity with customers.
• Determine credit support requirements to mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Legal teams on credit matters.
• Support establishment and enforcement of credit policies and loss-control procedures.
• Standardize credit reporting and customer credit profiles across platforms.
• Assist in improving transparency and reducing bad-debt reserves.
• Oversee outsourced credit team for consistency and accuracy.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses and special projects as needed.
