Job summary

Truist seeks a Middle Market Credit Delivery Associate to support underwriting, risk assessment and credit recommendations for sponsor/leveraged finance in the middle market.

You will review financial statements, collaborate with Relationship Managers, and help manage a diverse client portfolio with increasing independence over time. This role is based in the Baltimore area and offers growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 2–4+ years of experience in Commercial, Corporate, Leveraged, and/or Investment Banking or related credit-focused environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for documenting analyses and recommendations.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and related financial analysis tools.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify key credit risks and mitigants.
• Knowledge of asset-reliant and cash flow/enterprise value-reliant credit structures.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates diligence and underwriting documentation for complex credit relationships and supports presentations.
• Ensures loan agreements align with approved documents and addresses issues with Relationship Manager.
• Analyzes financial statements and projections, documenting client performance and risk mitigants.
• Monitors credit process metrics and ensures compliance within portfolio and prospects.
• Acts as client/internal contact to manage assigned portfolio, including site visits as needed.
• Supports and mentors Credit Delivery Analysts and Associates.
