Job summary

Farmers Furniture is seeking a Credit/AR Manager to coordinate accounts receivable and collections for the store. The role approves or declines credit, investigates financial status, and enforces collection procedures to minimize losses while growing receivables.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, maintaining documentation, and ensuring daily cash handling procedures are followed in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years experience in accounting/bookkeeping, loan processing, and/or collections.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and leads assigned staff in credit operations.
• Oversees accounts receivable and collection activities.
• Reviews and investigates credit applications, approves or rejects credit, and sets credit limits.
• Contacts customers to collect overdue payments and documents all communications.
• Maintains accurate filing and documentation for customer accounts.
• Monitors collection reports and evaluates policy effectiveness.
• Prepares paperwork for potential legal action and coordinates with attorneys or agencies.
• Manages cash receipts and daily deposits, ensuring security of cash drawers.
