Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred.
  • Five to seven years’ experience as a Commercial Bank Credit Analyst.
  • Basic knowledge of financial statements and financial analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use.

Responsibilities

  • Embrace and adhere to the Bank’s core values and culture.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Review loan requests to analyze credit information and financial statements.
  • Attend joint calls with lenders to gather information for loan evaluation.
  • Assess trends in financial performance to determine repayment ability and borrower strength.
  • Analyze requests based on the five Cs of credit.
  • Calculate cash flow and ability to repay the credit.
  • Assign risk ratings in accordance with Policy.
  • Assess collateral value and collectability; review conversion cycle when needed.
  • Review personal financial statements and borrower/guarantor creditworthiness.
  • Identify market risks and trends affecting credits and portfolios.
  • Prepare and present credit memos; recommend approval/denial with reasons.
  • Provide consultative solutions to loan officers and clients balancing risk.
