Job summary

The role requires strong financial modeling, accounting knowledge, and the ability to communicate S&P's methodology to clients. This position is based in New York, NY with regular in-office attendance and telecommuting on other days within commuting distance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field with five years of experience as a Credit Analyst.
• Alternative: Bachelor's degree with CFA certification plus five years of experience.
• Experience in financial modeling, credit analysis, and forecasting.
• Knowledge of accounting standards, budgeting, and liquidity assessment.
• Ability to write analytical credit reports and communicate methodology.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary analyst for complex entities and present recommendations to the rating committee.
• Develop forecasts and rate issuers and debt issues per S&P criteria.
• Write analytical reports and synthesize analysis into well-supported rating recommendations.
• Train team members on difficult analytical issues.
• Collaborate with markets and jurisdictions globally.
