Job summary

First Interstate Bank is seeking a Credit Analyst II to evaluate and underwrite commercial credits, including CRE and C&I, for Boise and Coeur d'Alene branches. You will analyze financial statements, model cash flows, and assess risk to support loan relationships and regulatory compliance.

The role partners with Commercial Relationship Managers to ensure credit quality, mitigate risk, and enhance portfolio performance while adhering to bank policies and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 4–6 years of banking experience required; commercial banking experience preferred.
• GED or high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Read and analyze various financial statements including tax returns, balance sheets, P&L, cash flows.
• Prepare financial spreads for CRE, C&I, municipalities, and other borrowers.
• Assess credit risk, collateral, and repayment capacity against bank policies and regulations.
• Prepare comprehensive analysis reports with data charts and narrative.
• Support Relationship Managers in quarterly monitoring of credits.
