Qualifications

• 8–12 years of sophisticated commercial litigation experience.
• Significant concentration in commercial real estate litigation.
• Experience at a highly regarded law firm or sophisticated real estate practice.
• Proven ability to manage complex matters and client relationships.
• Strong knowledge of California civil litigation practice and procedure.

Responsibilities

• Lead a busy portfolio of commercial real estate litigation matters from inception to resolution.
• Develop litigation strategy and provide practical, commercially focused advice to sophisticated real estate clients.
• Handle complex disputes involving commercial leases, landlord-tenant relationships, unlawful detainer and possession matters, and real estate partnerships and joint ventures.
• Draft and supervise pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, settlement agreements, and other litigation documents.
• Manage all phases of discovery and prepare for mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trials.
• Manage client relationships and act as trusted adviser on litigation strategy and business considerations.
