Job summary

Centier Bank in Carmel, IN is seeking an Underwriter 3 to prepare written loan analyses for new and existing commercial loans from $1,000,000 up to the bank's lending limit. You will monitor loans through financial reviews and covenant testing.

Experience with moderately complex CRE or C&I lending and large relationships over $5 million is preferred. Strong writing, analytical and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with significant accomplishment in finance and accounting or commensurate experience and training in credit analysis for commercial loans.
• Minimum of 5 years of commercial lending experience with an emphasis on credit and risk management.
• Formal credit training through ABA, RMA, or formal internal bank training program.

Responsibilities

• Present data, conclusions and recommendations within the boundaries of regulations, policies and guidelines.
• Collect and analyze financial information about borrowers to determine appropriate credit for complex commercial loans.
• Prepare 10-50 page written presentations for new loans and renewals with risk and recommendation details.
• Conduct covenant compliance reviews and periodic financial statement analysis.
• Interact with lenders and customers to evaluate credit worthiness and potential deterioration.
• Participate in meetings with Business Bankers and senior leadership on loan decisions.
• Own the bank's commercial loan portfolio to prevent delinquency and losses.
