Job summary

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is seeking a Credit Underwriter III – CRE to assess creditworthiness of commercial borrowers and support loan decisions. Role focuses on moderately complex credit relationships, cash flow and collateral analysis, and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years CRE underwriting experience, a related bachelor’s degree, and MS Office proficiency; construction/bridge lending experience is a plus. Open to applicants in CRE lending teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or similar field; in lieu of a degree, high school diploma with 10+ years in discipline.
• Experience in commercial real estate credit underwriting; strong analytical capabilities.
• Proficiency in analyzing financial statements, tax returns, and cash flows.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze financial information, cash flows, and credit reports to determine creditworthiness for borrowers and guarantors.
• Prepare detailed credit approval and loan review reports with leases, rent rolls, appraisals, and environmental reports.
• Collaborate with Bankers and management to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Review loan documents, understand title considerations for CRE properties, and monitor covenants.
• Remain informed on industry trends and regulatory requirements affecting lending criteria.
