Job summary

Northeast Bank, a full-service community bank and national CRE lender, seeks a Commercial Real Estate Credit Manager in Boston. You will analyze borrower financials, evaluate collateral, and monitor loan portfolios to guide lending decisions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate lending, real estate valuation and/or underwriting.
• Bachelor's degree with a strong track record of performance and leadership; banking credit training is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills with knowledge of real estate financial modeling and operating business analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to distill complex credit analysis into memos and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Credit Analysis: analyze borrower financial statements, rent rolls, operating statements, and cash flow to assess creditworthiness.
• Collateral Evaluation: review appraisals, internal valuations, and market data for collateral quality and risks.
• Portfolio Monitoring: support ongoing surveillance of portfolio credits, covenant compliance, and market conditions.
• Credit Memoranda & Reporting: prepare concise credit memos and materials for approvals and Credit Committee presentations.
• Collaboration: work with originations, real estate, asset management and senior credit teams.
• Due Diligence: participate in borrower calls, site inspections, and review third-party reports.
• Portfolio Management: manage a portfolio of acquired or originated loans as needed.
