Northeast Bank is seeking a valuation and underwriting expert to join the Real Estate Group in Boston. The role focuses on collateral valuation, market intelligence, and support for portfolio reviews and new opportunities.

The successful candidate will perform valuations, analyze property types and trends, collaborate with lenders, and produce data-driven memos for credit committee decisions. Four plus years CRE lending experience and solid Excel modeling are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in commercial real estate lending, valuation and/or underwriting.
• Bachelor’s degree with strong performance; credit training a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive valuations on commercial real estate collateral, from desktop reviews to in-depth analysis.
• Analyze property types, local market trends, leasing activity, and investor demand to determine value and risk.
• Collaborate with National Lending team to underwrite collateral for new loan opportunities and provide market insights.
• Review collateral for new lending opportunities to assess market position, liquidity, and risk.
