Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly motivated Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join our legal team in Wheaton, IL. This full-time, permanent role focuses on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, zoning, entitlements, construction, and loan documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a JD, be licensed in Illinois, and at least five years of experience in commercial real estate law, with proven drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills on complex transactions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the state.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney.
• Proven experience in dispositions, real estate transactions, leasing, zoning, entitlements, construction, and loan documentation.
• Strong knowledge of real estate law, commercial law, lease agreements, property law, and legal compliance.
• Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract law.
• Proficiency in legal document preparation and legal software.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client relations skills.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, zoning, and entitlements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex real estate contracts, leases, and retail development agreements.
• Conduct due diligence, title review, and survey review for real estate transactions.
• Prepare and negotiate financing transactions and loan documentation.
• Provide legal advice on a wide range of real estate matters, including lease agreements, contract law, and property law.
• Conduct legal research and provide legal writing to support decision-making processes.
• Maintain strong client relations and ensure client satisfaction.
• Solve complex legal problems using analytical skills and critical thinking.
• Ensure legal compliance in all transactions and processes.
• Manage legal cases using legal software.
