Job summary

Orange & Rockland Utilities (O&R) in New York seeks an experienced supervisor to oversee Cranes & Rigging operations across the system. You will coordinate permits, ensure compliance with safety and procedural standards, and manage after-hours staffing for emergencies.

The role requires supervisory experience, relevent licenses, and strong communication with internal teams and external agencies. Travel within service territory is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years professional work experience or similar combinations as listed.
• Experience with MS Office Suite and corporate systems including Maximo and Contractor Oversight.

Responsibilities

• Supervise cranes and rigging personnel to ensure safety and spec compliance.
• Coordinate with agencies to obtain permits and licenses as required.
• Plan and assign qualified personnel to meet operations and customer needs.
• Manage after-hours staffing, emergencies, and resource coordination.
• Oversee lift planning and safe transport of oversize equipment in NYC/Westchester.
• Document training, performance, and corrective actions as needed.
• Improve work processes to control labor costs and boost productivity.
