Job summary

Capco Crane & Hoist, Inc. in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Crane Technician to join the team. You will provide quality installation, inspections, maintenance and repair service for hoist and crane equipment, ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

A strong background in electrical and mechanical systems is essential. You will work directly with customers and internal staff, perform troubleshooting, and document all service actions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment.
• Experience with 3-phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and circuits.
• Overhead crane and scissor lift experience required.
• Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrician or Electro-Mechanical Technology preferred.
• Ability to work at height and lift 50–100 lbs.
• Perform inspections to OSHA criteria.
• Ability to work independently and with customers.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Service overhead crane systems and hoists by performing quality installations.
• Perform OSHA-equivalent inspections; documenting warranty work; troubleshooting breakdowns.
• Perform preventive maintenance; and respond to emergency service/breakdown calls.
• Support customers by effectively interfacing with customer and office in repairing equipment as needed.
• Perform electrical and /or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings.
• Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.
• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklist.
• Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance, and organization in all areas.
• Develop a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local codes for overhead cranes and hoists.
• Responsible for company equipment including, company vehicle(s), tools, etc.
