Job summary

Fifth Third Bank is seeking a Sr CRA Loan Specialist to originate residential mortgage loans, manage the process from application to closing, and support CRA initiatives. You will build relationships with REALTORS, nonprofits, and internal teams to meet cross-selling goals.

You will lead meetings, provide training to new CRA MLOs, stay compliant with NMLS requirements, and maintain knowledge of products, rates, and procedures while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent mandatory. Four-year college degree preferred.
• Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
• Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
• Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork and customer service skills.
• Proven computer skills.
• Basic sales technique skills.
• Strong desire to excel in a competitive environment.
• S.A.F.E. Act registration at NMLS required.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external sales and partnership meetings.
• Assist CRA MLO colleagues with general loan support and business development.
• Grow CRA prospects and referral contacts (realtors, builders, professionals).
• Maintain relationships with internal teams and partners.
