Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in West Chester, OH is seeking a Residential Mortgage Loan Officer to originate 1st mortgage loans, manage end-to-end processes, and grow CRA referrals. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to promote mortgage products while ensuring compliance with lending guidelines.

The role requires knowledge of processing, underwriting, and closing and a strong commitment to customer service and risk management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Four-year college degree preferred.
• Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines.
• Knowledge of residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
• Knowledge of federal lending regulations governing real estate lending.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Demonstrated teamwork and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external sales and partnership meetings.
• Assist CRA MLO colleagues with general loan support and business development.
• Develop and maintain CRA prospects and referral contacts (realtors, builders, professionals).
• Maintain knowledge of Fifth Third Mortgage Company policies, procedures, products, processing, underwriting and guidelines.
• Coordinate and conduct homebuyer training seminars for CRA applicants.
• Manage loan pipelines from application to closing and report progress to management.
