Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is hiring talented engineers for CPU RTL development targeted for high performance, low power devices. You will work with chip architects to conceive of the micro-architecture and help with architecture/product definition through early involvement in the product life cycle.

The role requires hands-on experience with CPU RTL, Verilog/VHDL, and microarchitecture knowledge, plus collaboration with software, firmware and platform teams to enable CPU features in products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of related experience.
• Master's degree with 3+ years of related experience.
• PhD with 2+ years of related experience.
• MS degree with 5+ years CPU RTL or similar experience.
• Knowledge of microprocessor architecture and key subsystems.
• Knowledge of Verilog and/or VHDL with simulators.

Responsibilities

• Performance exploration with CPU modeling team.
• Microarchitecture development and specification from high-level to detailed specs.
• RTL ownership to meet power, performance, area and timing goals.
• Functional verification support for the verification team.
• Performance verification to ensure RTL meets goals.
• Design delivery with cross-functional teams for timing, area, reliability, and power.
• Collaborate with Software, Firmware and platform teams to enable CPU features.
