Job summary

Suffolk Construction is seeking a Senior Planner to support projects over $100 million by creating baseline and progress schedules, providing technical and practical input on all project schedules, and preparing and analyzing updates.

Responsibilities include advanced level scheduling, managing schedules for multiple projects, establishing and maintaining schedules over 5000 activities, and updating the master schedule for enterprise reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or applicable discipline.
• 6+ years scheduling experience on large-scale construction projects ($75M+).
• Expert in CPM scheduling with ability to review schedules and impacts.
• Experience with Primavera P6 including cost and resource loading.
• Proficiency in CPM techniques and multi-project management.
• Willingness to obtain AACEI PSP Certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced scheduling support to assigned projects.
• Manage schedules for more than one project.
• Establish, monitor, and maintain schedules over 5000 activities per project.
• Participate in updating the master schedule and enterprise reporting.
• Assist PMs and Superintendents in developing baseline schedules and cash flow.
• Gather, update, analyze, and report project progress.
• Prepare concise schedule narratives describing status.
• Prepare Time Impact Analyses for contract revisions.
• Ensure compliance with scheduling procedures and QA/QC.
• Train staff on scheduling techniques and best practices.
• Prepare lessons learned on completed projects.
• Provide formal CPM schedule training to employees.
• Understand Lean Pull Planning concepts.
