Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a technical claims role focusing on General Liability.
• 8+ years of legal experience handling insurance coverage matters.
• Litigation experience in coverage lawsuits or declaratory judgments preferred.
• General Liability coverage knowledge: premises, products, bodily injury, indemnity.
• Juris Doctorate required.
• Strong written and oral communication; adaptable and collaborative.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Handle declaratory judgment actions where a company is named defendant in General Liability.
• Collaborate with frontline claims staff to analyze coverage and draft position letters.
• Evaluate risk transfer issues, additional insured status, and indemnity opportunities.
• Review Time Limits Demands and allegations of unfair claim practices as needed.
• Assist to ensure appropriate claim investigation and coverage analyses are completed.
• In litigation, help select attorneys and support litigation management strategies.
