AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Senior Counsel, U.S. Policy Legal, to lead federal and state policy initiatives supporting access to AbbVie products in the U.S.

The role involves engaging externally for policy shaping and messaging, with collaboration across Legal, Government Affairs, OEC and business teams to inform strategic initiatives. Qualifications

• J.D., with license to practice law in a U.S. state.
• Minimum 5+ years (8+ years preferred) of relevant experience practicing law, preferably in a law firm, government, trade association, and/or in-house.

Responsabilités

• Comply with applicable AbbVie policies and procedures.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of AbbVie’s business and keep abreast of changes in laws and government policies affecting client areas.
• Provide clear advice to Government Affairs and business clients on key federal and state laws, regulations, and policies (e.g., Inflation Reduction Act, ACA, FDA regulations).
• Work with legal department managers to resolve complex legal matters and inform on project developments.
• Help direct the work of outside counsel and manage project objectives.
• Work cross-functionally to find solutions for business clients consistent with law, policies, and AbbVie’s Code of Conduct.
