AbbVie in the United States is seeking a Senior Counsel, U.S. Policy Legal to lead federal and state policy initiatives supporting access to AbbVie products.

You will shape external messaging and collaborate with Legal, Government Affairs, and OEC to inform strategic initiatives. Qualificações

• J.D. with license to practice law in a U.S. state.
• Minimum 5+ years (8+ years preferred) of relevant experience practicing law, preferably in a law firm, the government, a trade association, and/or in house.
• Preferred experience focusing on legislative and/or regulatory policy issues in a healthcare, pharmaceutical, or related industry.

Responsabilidades

• Comply with applicable AbbVie policies and procedures.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of AbbVie’s business, company imperatives, and keep abreast of changes in laws and government policies that affect client areas.
• Provide clear advice to Government Affairs and business clients on key federal and state laws, regulations, and policies, including the Inflation Reduction Act, Medicare and Medicaid laws, the Affordable Care Act, 340B, FDA regulations, OIG guidance, and others.
• Work with legal department managers to resolve complex legal matters efficiently, and advise legal department managers of project developments in a timely manner.
• Help direct the work of outside counsel, define project objectives, manage projects.
• Work cross-functionally and find solutions for business clients consistent with the law, policies/procedures, and AbbVie’s Code of Conduct.
